| Introduction | Hello! Hola!! I am a bilingual elementary teacher in the South Bronx. I have been teaching for five years and this summer I have been accepted to participate in the National Oceanic and Atmostpheric Administration's Teacher at Sea program. This blog will chronicle my experience with NOAA. It is NOAA's intent to send teachers to sea to work on their vessels in order to support NOAA's mission in understanding and predicting changes in the Earth's enviornment and conserve and manage coastal and marine resources. NOAA's intends to meet our nation's economic, social, and environmental needs. It will be my job to take the information I've learned and bring it home with me to my students and colleagues. |
