Introduction	A bike's a bike. How do you describe a bike? Apparently, I'm a caring non conformist: My friend Steve said these very kind things: Non conformity? I love it! Of all the people who write for Stories from the Street Ray is one of those who really intrigues me. This has no doubt much to do with the fact that I have never met him, and also because I love the eccentrics in life Those who are willing to take the risk of offending one or two out of a love for the huge gift that life is. Ray’s writings are self depreciating and at times tongue in cheek. However it would appear he is someone who knows what it is to have suffered – a man of great heart and depth. Not so preoccupied with himself however that he fails to take note of what others might consider the non-events of life. I am sure to Ray’s delight, much of his work defies easy explanation but leaves the reader wanting to know more - to me always a good sign of a gifted writer. Wonderfully honest his poems offer a glimpse of a level of self awareness that few men possess.
