| Introduction | I'm 21 years old. I spent the last 3 years at Utah Valley University studying theatre. I sort of hit a wall at the end of the third year and needed some sort of escape. I felt a little trapped, like I just needed to be somewhere new. That's when a very good friend of mine suggested au pairing. I signed up for a nanny website, and pretty quickly I had a job set up with a family in Ireland. It was a dream come true, Ireland is somewhere I'd always wanted to go. But I guess it just wasn't meant to be because it fell through. That was a pretty devastating blow to me. I got pretty depressed for a while after that. I was unemployed, not going to school and living with parents. That's when I heard from a very nice family in Switzerland. Almost immediately it was decided that I would come join their family in August 2009. It felt too easy and I was sure something would go wrong. I had been crushed the last time and I wasn't going to let myself feel that again. But here I am! I now reside in Commugny, Switzerland and take care of two crazy, mischievous, sweet boys named Karl and Paul. I wanted an escape and it appears that I found exactly what I was looking for. These are my adventures. |
