IntroductionEdoardo Fanfani, born in Rome in 1994, is an art historian with a special interest in the religious, artistic, and architectural heritage of the Anglican tradition. Known as “The Roman Anglican”—also the name of his well-regarded blog—he has long been involved with All Saints’ Anglican Church in Rome, where he has served as a pastoral intern and archivist. Educated at the Pontifical Gregorian University, he studied History and History of Art, focusing on Christian iconography and ecclesiastical architecture, and wrote his thesis on the Gregorian presbytery of Old St. Peter’s Basilica. Passionate about Antiquity, the Renaissance, the Baroque, and Georgian architecture, he also loves British history, historic gardens, and the visual language of sacred spaces. A devoted supporter of the Book of Common Prayer and the Anglican choral tradition, he is now training for ordained ministry at Westcott House, Cambridge, uniting his love of beauty, history, and faith. Edoardo enjoys visiting museums, traveling—especially to the United States—listening to music, cooking, watching films, and being by the sea, his enduring source of peace and inspiration.
