| Introduction | I want to use a "Hello I'm Tedina Baxter and it all started in a 5,000 watt radio station..." kind of intro (OK I just dated myself)...truth be told, that would be long-winded (and I only have 1200 characters!) Short story - I grew up in a beautiful city an hour from Toronto, went to university in Ottawa - another beautiful city (albeit freaking cold!!), and moved to the glorious US of A in ’06 (an hour from NYC). I am married to the gentlest, funniest, most darling, generous, beautiful man on the planet and although the Lord did not bless us with kids, we have had a joyous marriage (not without it's cycles, natch - kind of like the economy - you just riiide them out). I am the youngest of three; sadly, I lost a brother last year but am blessed to have an amazing older brother who took care of us as teenagers when my 51-year old parents left this earth (my age now – gulp), and I have the best friends and family on the planet. And... I have a brain tumor (tumour for my Canadian friends); second time I have had cancer in 18 months. Sigh. That kind of blows, but hey, this blog may be good therapy and my chance to vent, talk through some of the ups/downs. Thanks for being here. :-) |
| Interests | Having fun, celebrating life with friends and family, enjoying a great glass of wine (or two .. or ten - HIC!), savoring delicious food (OK, I'm Italian - it's in our DNA!!), traveling and seeing the world (to meet new people and eat THEIR delicious food and drink THEIR delicious wine, although Italians think their wine is the best ....their shoes and leather products are THE best for sure)... let's see ... what else ... laughing, reading a good book, learning new things every day ...and just trying to have fun ... |
