When you open your eyes underwater, do you ever worry that you'll drown?

Once I was swimming in my Grandfather's pool in Arizona. I was at the bottom of the pool with my eyes open inspecting the main drain. I jammed my finger in the grate of the drain and became stuck. I pulled as hard as I could to break free and that's eventually what happened. In freeing myself, I had snapped my finger off. Vacation over.
