| Introduction | I write because my mama told me how beautiful my writing was and from her encouragement a voice developed that matched the beauty of the writing. I write to find my way back to what makes sense, to the things I've known for centuries but sometimes have trouble remembering. I write to get away, I write so I can come back. I write for myself, I write for my mama, I write for everyone who doesn't know what to say or how to say it. I write to tell the story of how all was well, all is well, and how it always will be.
