Introduction* Welcome to my corner of the digital world. I’m a fantasy writer dedicated to exploring the 'Grey' areas of life—both in my fiction on Amazon Kindle and on my blog, Unscripted Paradox. Living in Honduras after growing up in Middle Tennessee has given me a unique perspective on the world, which I pour into my characters and my craft. When I’m not managing the operations for a busy appliance repair service, you’ll find me with a crochet hook in hand or lost in a new chapter.
Interests* Beyond my professional life, I am deeply passionate about creative writing and world-building, specifically crafting high-fantasy narratives that explore metaphysical themes and the epic battle against "The Grey." You can find my latest work published on Amazon Kindle, or follow my more personal reflections on "midlife recalibration" through my blog, Unscripted Paradox. When I’m not lost in a fictional realm or deep-diving into a new fantasy ebook, I find immense peace in the fiber arts. I recently rediscovered my love for crochet and cross-stitch, finding a quiet joy in working on a full-size blanket while carrying on the traditions my "Granny" taught me when I was a child. My daily life is a unique blend of navigating the world as a Tennessee native living abroad in Honduras and balancing a fast-paced career in remote management. At the heart of everything I do is my family; I cherish every moment spent with my husband of nearly 20 years, our children, and our ever-growing circle of grandchildren.
Favorite movies* When it comes to movies, I’m all about stories with heart and a healthy dose of humor. I love the sharp, Southern wit of Steel Magnolias and the inspiring journey of Michael Oher in The Blind Side. I’m also a huge Sandra Bullock fan, especially when she’s going undercover at a beauty pageant in Miss Congeniality. Of course, I have a soft spot for 'guilty pleasure' comedies too—like Evolution, which taught me that Head & Shoulders can actually save the world! On the small screen, I enjoy the comfort of classic sitcoms like The Golden Girls and The Andy Griffith Show, which bring back such warm memories. But I also have a serious side; I never miss a good police drama, and I'm a regular viewer of Major Crimes and Law & Order: SVU.
Favorite music* My music taste is truly an unscripted paradox—it entirely depends on my mood. I’m a fan of anything with a real beat and a bit of soul. On any given day, you might find me blasting '80s and '90s country, vibing to Reggaeton, or turning up some rap. Lately, I’ve been leaning into artists who blend those lines, like Jelly Roll and Teddy Swims—singers who aren't afraid to get raw and sentimental. Whether I need something upbeat and energetic to get through a busy day of remote managing or something sad and soulful to inspire a new book chapter, if a song has heart and a rhythm, it’s on my playlist.
Favorite books* As both a writer and an avid reader, I live for a story that pulls me in and refuses to let go. I’m drawn to the high-stakes world of romance and paranormal fantasy—anything involving shifters, vampires, and witches—as long as it has a gripping, fast-paced plot. For me, a great book is one that never leaves room for boredom. While I rarely read the same story twice, I am a dedicated lover of the book series. There’s nothing quite like the experience of falling into a long-term saga where the world-building is deep and the characters feel like old friends. Whether I'm exploring a new supernatural realm or a complex romance, I'm always searching for that next binge-worthy series that keeps me turning pages late into the night.

When you hesitate before hitting snooze on your alarm clock, are you being lazy?

Absolutely not! It’s a high-level negotiation with my internal clock. When you spend your day managing appliance repairs and your nights writing novels, those extra nine minutes are the only 'unscripted' time you truly get. It’s self-care, not laziness.
