Introduction	I am 30 years of age who is a survivor of domestic violence in my childhood, date rape, and kidnapping. I am also a survivor of bullying and cannot agree more with what we are trying to show others, "it only gets better." I am a lesbian who has been out since I was 16, happily married to the most wonderful woman in the world, Laura, for six years, and we have been together for eight years. With her standing by my side and me standing by her side, we graduate from Texas Wesleyan University in December 2009 with our BS in Psychology. I am now pursing a Master's in Social Work from UTA and she is pursuing a Master's in Counseling from Texas Wesleyan University. I started the blog originally because I had decided almost 6 months prior to turning 30 that I needed to take charge of my life and make the next 30 years the best years of my life. I want to share the experiences with others because I hope that it can help inspire others to want to be survivors and not to continue to be a victim. The reason I survived is because of my ultimate rock, Jesus Christ. He has saved me numerous times because I have yet to complete my mission and my journey on this earth. Blessings to all!
