Introduction My work crosses artforms and genres including poetry, fiction, non-fiction, drama and visual art. I have been shortlisted for The Ted Hughes Award and for the Republic of Consciousness Prize. Commissions include the BBC, British Library, Wellcome Collection and BFI. My latest poetry collection is The Triumph of Cancer which is a Poetry Book Society Recommendation. I am the editor of Poems from the Edge of Extinction: An Anthology of Poetry in Endangered Languages. My first novel, Dedalus, is a sequel to Ulysses and my second novel Mud is a version of the Orpheus and Eurydice set underneath Hampstead Heath. I work as the National Poetry Librarian.
