Introduction I'm passionate about issues that affect males across many societies. From boys' development and education to male ageing and mentoring. I believe that debates about gender equity are disproportionately informed by ideological assumptions rather than sound evidence. Many ideologues have developed such power in gender debates (as well as institutions that are proponents of such ideological positions) that one could be mistaken for thinking males are doing perfectly well in education, morbidity and mortality, parenting options and as victims of violence. I believe it is time to shift discussions to a more critical analysis; such as asking "what can we do for males" as opposed to "what's wrong with males". We seem to want to change males; rather than seek to understand them in the context of their lives. I hope this blog gives people the opportunity to explore, ask and provide information that ultimately results in a more open, honest and robust debate of issues that affect males.
