Introduction | My passion is writing historical MG and YA fiction that perks students' interest in history by bringing the past to life. I taught at the middle grade, high school, and adult levels for over fifteen years. My middle grade ancient civilization novels follow Sam (Samsuluna), a 12-year-old orphan, as he is adopted in Babylon, finds a hidden tomb in Egypt, a princess in Crete, escapes from a king in Cyprus, and finally sails to Tyre in search of his uncle and uncovers clues to a locked treasure. My young adult WWII novel, Rising Hope, follows six Polish Boy Scouts and Girl Guides who, through loss find hope when they join the Polish Underground in their fight to overthrow Poland's German occupiers before the Communists take over their country. |
