| Introduction | I'm pissed off and (not currently as of 3/09/13) pregnant, but I wasn't always this pissed off. Like many women, I was blissfully unaware of the despicable state of the maternity care system in the United States....hell, of the medical system in general. Through a series of personal experiences over several years, I have become progressively more PISSED OFF at the lack of evidence based care, the obvious violations of medical ethics (not to mention common fucking sense!) and callous disregard for the human element of patient care that is rampant in American "health" care. |
