Introduction	I was involved in a spiritual path from 1986-1996 that has copyrights on it's name, so I am going to eliminate the title. I lived in ashrams in upstate New York, Oakland and Ganeshpuri, India, and traveled to Germany, France, Mexico, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand to participate or work in programs sponsored by the foundation. For five of the ten years I paid my own way, and for five was "on staff", receiving a monthly stipend, room and board, and gifts of various types. I particpated in a variety of volunteer service, or "seva" including chopping vegetables, moving rocks, cleaning, teaching, playing music and singing and organizing public programs. I left amicably in 1996, but began to admit the unease that hung just below the surface of my involvement in the year following. I wrote a letter to the guru over a long period and formally disassociated myself from the path in 1997.
