| Introduction | Born in 1975, raised in New Hampshire. Brian moved to Maine in 1996. Since a young age he has had an interest in drawing and painting, and received many acknowledgements and awards. In 1997 he married Colleen Barter, daughter of well-known artist Philip Barter. He was then able to work firsthand with Philip on projects which matured his techniques and style. Other influences include: John Marin, Maurice Freedman, Manierre Dawson, Georgia O'Keeffe, and many others. His work can be found in multiple galleries along the Maine coast. He is currently residing in South Portland, Maine with wife and daughter. |
