| Introduction | Hey there! My name’s Jessica, and I’m a poet and speculative fiction writer from Ohio. I’ve been an avid reader for as long as I can remember and have been writing in some form or another for over twenty years. I wrote my first short stories in the seventh grade. They were terrible, but I loved the process. My freshman year of high school, I started writing poetry and haven’t looked back. Now, I write poetry, short stories, and novels. When not writing, I’m often reading, bingeing a show on Netflix (quite possibly Supernatural), or wandering the woods—with or without my camera. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in communication from Ohio University and spending nearly five years as an editor with a marketing agency, I now work as a marketing coordinator at a local community college.
