Introduction	Entering the world of blogging.... a little late? Maybe, but excited about it nevertheless High school teacher, home maker and hopeful of achieving my dream of one day taking up adventure sport! Avid reader, and i am told, demanding. Fan of the writings of Daphne du Maurier, William Dalrymple, Ruth Prawer Jhabvala, Manohar Malgaonkar, Bill Bryson. In Marathi, Pula Deshpande, Jaywant Dalwi. More recently S L Bhyrappa in translation. Recently into reviewing books, mainly for myself. Like the films of Ray, Jabbar Patel, Benegal, Spielberg, and an occasional chick flick. Some action, provided there IS a story that's cogent and well directed (Gone in 60 seconds, as an example). Fan of Waheeda, Julia Roberts, Smita Patil, Pierce Brosnan, George Clooney, Naseeruddin Shah, Atul Kulkarni. Hindustani music buff & into old Hindi and Marathi melodies: Bhimsen, Jasraj, Sanjeev Abhyankar, Prabha Atre, Ravi Shankar, Amjad Ali Khan, Lata, Kishore, Asha,SD and RD Burman, Salil Choudhari. Concerned about the general degeneration in my country and more particularly, my beloved city, Bengaluru. Would be delighted to hear from articulate friendly folk.
