| Introduction | I am a 53 year old male from the UK, living and working in South Africa for Standard Bank, I have been diagnosed with a cancer on my tonsil, this blog is about the journey I am embarking on. My wife who is still in the UK with the rest of my family said to me "You went to South Africa for a reason, I think you may have just found it" meaning that the care, speed, proffesionalism at which I have been handled and the directness of the diagnosis has been incredible and efficient. I am very loyal to my home country, but neither the NHS or the private system there would have reacted with the speed and efficiency that I have found here. |
