| Introduction | Am from Hawai'i but worked in Okinawa for a total of nearly 9-1/2 years. Okinawan food is terrific - soki, tebichi, goya, chanpurus, jirus, rafute. But at times I really missed the foods of Hawai'i, those that I grew up with. So I cooked things I missed, a mix of Hawai'ian local-style and simple Cantonese cooking. But now not doing much cooking as I can just go out to get what I want and enjoy. Pix of my mago (GD) hamming it up at Jimbo. |
