| Introduction | I was named Rain Girl by the New Ulm Journal in 1989. Ive married to an amazing man and we have 2 daughters. Andrew, Taylor (age 5) & Carolina (age 1) My husband was in the USMC when we were wed, he went to Iraq 12 days later. Our 1st daughter was born in North Carolina. Our 2nd daughter was named after North Carolina. My parenting doesn't define me... but I often find it sets me apart from most. And Im okay with that. I like it my way. I'm a stay at home mom. Im a HUGE lactavist. Not just "breastfeeding mom" or "breastfeeding supporter" but a lactavist indeed. Breastmilk IS a birthright and I am very passionate about it. We cloth diaper. We co-sleep. I baby wear often. We do not "self soothe" and there is no crying it out at my house. I am a photo nut. Always have been, but love how the digital era has given me the control and immediate feedback Ive needed to actually get "good" I run a small photography business on the side. I dont like to shoot weddings. Babies and small children are by far my favorite. I rock out to awesome music when my kids arent in the car. |
