| Introduction | Who is this blogger? My name, John Lincoln Cumming, was influenced greatly by my paternal grandfather, John Graham Dawson Cumming, Civil War veteran, personally acquainted with President Lincoln. I am 89 years old, born and reared on a barren, remote Montana homestead in Valley County, Montana. From there--former member of CCC's; four years in the Army in WWII, going from private to captain; graduate of University of Montana, 1947 (took me 11 years to get through college!); born again Christian; graduate of Fuller Seminary, 1948; former pastor, Bible teacher; personnel officer, canoeist, back-packer, gardener...a little of many occupations. Survivor of two severe heart attacks, but carrying on in "good" health, with congestive heart failure and prostate cancer in the background. Happily married to wife, Jane, for over 63 years; father of three great children, son David, daughters Mary and Martha, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. There--that's about it! |
