| Introduction | I'm a potter who loves to make functional pieces at the wheel. I hope they reflect the beauty and simplicity of creation. I started out taking classes at Odyssey Studios a couple years ago at the mere invitation from a friend in Asheville. Now I live in the Southern Pines area after having lived in Charlotte where I was a student at Clayworks. I work mainly on two clay bodies: phoenix and zella stone. For design work, lately I've been etching words onto the sides of pieces. Someday, I'd like to make some wood fired pieces. I'd also like to help build a kiln, especially an Anagama and continue to take workshops. These days I'm continuing to create my own studio. I can't imagine life without being at the wheel, playing with God's earth. |
