| Introduction | I have been drawing and painting my whole life. I earned a degree from Southern Illinois University in fine art and graphic design. I worked in the commercial arts business for over 15 years. In 2010 I left the design field to dedicate myself solely to fine art painting. I grew up playing outdoors, riding horses, hunting and fishing and those experiences are what I draw upon when I paint. I believe painting 'en plein air' is the best way to see color in nature and paint outdoors often. I live in the southwest and think this an incredible place with varied cultures and landscape. I strive to capture those scenes that are exciting to me and enjoy sharing them with others. I am presently represented by the Mary Williams Fine Art in Boulder, CO. |
