| Introduction | Hi there! I’m Suzanne, retired chef and former California girl idling away time in Alabama. Even though I'm so far from "home" I still adore entertaining and cooking for family and friends. My love of food began when I was just a little squirt standing on a chair, stirring brownie batter with a wooden spoon with my mom at my side. I’m married to a true Southern boy who thankfully is an adventurous eater and is my main guinea pig, uh, taste tester. I am also blessed with a number of guinea pigs, er, taste testers at my office as well as dear friends who are more than ready to indulge me with my culinary whims. Most of the recipes in this blog come from me expressing my creativity, as well as from the vast collection of cookbooks and newspaper clippings I have collected over the years. I hope that as I attempt to figure out what the heck I’m going fix to eat on a regular basis, I will also be teaching and inspiring you to get in your kitchen and be creative.
