| Introduction | After more than 60 years active interest in party politics I now find it a switch-off and prefer to try holding individual political parasites to account. Unfortunately the Havering & Redbridge Tory retained his seat on 3 May 2012 but with a reduced share of the vote and much reduced majority. So I must now look forward to 5 May 2016 before he slinks off with his head held low. Perhaps before then, in the 2014 Havering council elections, the voters of Elm Park ward will return to their past loyalties and see off the parasitical little runt into much deserved oblivion. I am wholly opposed to political coalitions. In general they are often for the primary benefit of their leading members and established primarily to keep them in power. In the case of the minority partner it is frequently the case that leading membership of a coalition is the only taste of power that they will ever get. |
