IntroductionGlory Ridge Farm has sprung from our hearts after many years of living in cities around the country. People often ask "why Llamas?" and it is a great question! Why? Llamas are easy on the land. They are great hikers, and they have terrific personalities. They 'fit' us, and they fit our space. Each llama has a personality of its own... while they act as a herd, they are individuals in their own ways. Our eldest is Rocky, or Uncle Rocky as we call him, since he is the Great Uncle to Onyx, the mother of our first TRUE Glory Ridge Farm baby, Glory Maye, who was born in May of 2008. Pumpkin, a gorgeous girl of 15 is very protective of 'her herd'. LuLu, a sweet but shy girl is one of the best packers (if you can get her MOVING-grin). Lil'Dude is a lovely white 2 year old who is full of humor. Snickers, is a true miracle boy... He was attacked by wild dogs in 2007, and still carries the scars--but is a sweetheart (and he LOVES our pups!). Our hope is to share our spot with people who want to see the forest grow back, the deer run wild, the llamas get goofy and nature make its changes.
