Introduction	36 going on 18 year old woman based in Mexico City. Recently, I found out that I needed a hysterectomy to remove a uterine tumour. I had the operation on the 19th of January. This morning, I was browsing through blogs on this subject by women who had hysterectomies. Yet there was nothing I could relate to about them and their lives. This is an account of my experiences of how to cope with a hysterectomy from the perspective of a single woman, not living in my country, far away from family and with a rather twisted sense of humour.
