| Introduction | "Barroso II" supports a second term for President Barroso. We are an independent and non-partisan group of Europeans who care about the future of the Union and believe that President Barroso is the leader that Europe needs. We want to offer an alternative space of expression, analysis and discussion about the achievements of the first term of the Barroso Commission and the policy orientations we would like a 2nd Barroso Commission to take. Over the past 5 years, President Barroso has demonstrated the political skills to lead a Commission at 27 and to forge consensus through difficult political and economical contexts. We believe that the priorities of the first Barroso Commission were the right ones. President Barroso is the best placed to take them forward and deal with the challenges of an ever integrated Europe in an ever interdependent world. |
