Introduction Hey there! I'm a curious, cat-loving writer whose work has appeared in MUBI's Notebook, Senses of Cinema, Midnight Eye, CineAction, the Toronto J-Film Pow-Wow, and elsewhere. Under the nurturing umbrella of Innis College, the University of Toronto opened my eyes to the wonders of history and cinema; since (and thanks to) those days, I have written extensively about Japanese cinema, Aki Kaurismäki, Tsai Ming-liang, and the French New Wave. I happily reside in Toronto, and am currently working on a book about Alain Resnais.
Favorite Movies Drifting Clouds, Syndromes and a Century, Wild Grass, The Ascent, L’argent, Hiroshima mon amour, Kings and Queen, Visage
