About me

Introduction I'm a stay-at-home wife/mom, homeschooling our wonderful twin 8yr olds. Since this isn't an "About Us" the rest will be about us. John and Ariele have been married nine years. Michael and Azalie are best of buds half of the time and arch nemesis the other half. We have a Basset Hound, Eliana, Ellie for short. She brings us much joy and is teaching us unconditional love. We are a home school family. Our children have over the years spent time in both the public and private sectors of school, but we've found home schooling is the best of all options.
Interests John is interested in climbing mountains, usually volcanoes as they are typically taller than mountains. He has summited Mt. Adams and Mt. Baker and Mt. Rainier. Ariele is interested in a little bit of everything except crafting. Her primary passions are writing, music, electronics. Michael is interested in physical activity: bike riding, scooters, basketball and playing with his toys. Azalie is interested in becoming a singer, she's artistic and loves reading. Boo was interested in sneaking food from impossibly high or tricky spots. His other primary interest was sleeping. As a family we share the passion of the great outdoors, specifically hiking. John likes ascending mountains. Ariele likes descending them via a snowboard. Mikey and Azalie like sledding so far. We all like hiking. We now have a new puppy named Eliana (Ellie for short). While she can't replace Boo, she brings us lots of joy, licks and entertainment.

Favorite Music Ariele's: Jars of Clay, Nichole Nordeman, Britt Nicole, Steven Curtis Chapman, Out of Eden, Scott Stapp, Grits, and much more... John's: Toby Mac, TFK, Relient K, David Crowder, U2, Switchfoot and more... The Kids: Anything with a Chipmunk sound to it...they like all music.
Favorite Books The Twins favorite books used to be the: Bible, The Five Love Languages, I Love You Stinky Face, I Love You Forever, The Hound From the Pound, Marsupial Sue Presents the Runaway Pancake, I'm a Manatee, I've Got Two Dogs, When Cats Go Wrong, all of the Gigi and Will series and many more. Now that they're older their favorite books are: the Bible, The Hobbit, The Fellowship of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia and for Azalie, Nancy Drew.

When you hesitate before hitting snooze on your alarm clock, are you being lazy?
