| Introduction | Ben Russo was born on August 9, 2005. He decided to visit us two months early & was diagnosed with CHARGE Syndrome shortly after birth. He also had a stroke at birth. He spent his first four months of life in the NICU at Cincinnati Childrens & has undergone over 20 surgical procedures (and will continue to go through many more in the future). Ben has cerebral palsy, a trach, feeding tube, facial palsy & a cochlear implant. He isn't able to walk, crawl or talk, but we hope some day he will. Even with all Ben has been through, he is still such a happy, feisty little boy & a true fighter. |
