| Introduction | Hi all & welcome to my very first art blog! My name is Maria Olsen, I'm 33 years old, born and raised in Queens, NY. This is my first semester at LAGCC. My major is Bilingual Education. I'm very excited to return to college after almost 13 years (proving that it's never too late lol). Upon graduating from high school, I went straight to college and it was not the right moment nor the right college. For the last 12 years I have been involved in educational sales, marketing and management. My dream and goal are to become a school principal and be an advocate for Bilingual education. One more little detail, the latter part of 2011, I found out that I was expecting a baby. This is my first child (a baby girl) and I didn't want to miss the semester, so worst case scenario is that I will be waddling into class. I wish everyone a great semester. |
| Interests | I'm very down to earth, love to help others, enjoy music and dancing, shopping and traveling. |
| Favorite Movies | I love all types of movies, except horror films. Some of my favorite movies are Pretty Woman, Love Jones, The Devil Wears Prada, Crash, Valentine's Day, Fast & the Furious (all of them), How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Law Abiding Citizen..just to name a few. |
| Favorite Music | I love all music - from R&B, Latin, samba, classical, oldies, hip-hop, instrumental. |
