Introduction	Cooking.talking, learning,eating, farming. Today is it. there is no tomorrow & yesterday no longer exists. enjoy & be present NOW. We are what we eat/We eat what we are. A saute pan in one hand & a chinois in the other. I own many knives but need a speed rack. live for my passion & my passion keeps me alive. connecting w/ ppl thru art & food is the soul center of my career. One day years ago, someone asked me, what do you want to do when you retire? I didn't blink. It had been my dream always to work run my own community kitchen/restaurant. I answered,"I want to cook when i retire.” In “retirement,” I desire(d) a loving open kitchen that will fuel my creativity-it would be about the food, the ppl & cooking. i paused. At that point in life I had stopped cooking & was working in an office-dissatisfied; longing for that hot, intense, adrenaline filled passion pit of a kitchen career. WELL, WHAT AM I WAITING FOR? WHY SHOULD I WAIT & WHY SHOULD ANYBODY WAIT UNTIL THEY RETIRE TO DO WHAT THEY FEEL DRIVEN TO DO PROFESSIONALLY? I never looked back. Now I cook & i will never have to retire
Interests	cooking, food, reducing, sauteeing, grilling, emulsifying. Music, plants, farms, nature, farmer's markets, fire escapes, stars, benches, photography, water, meditation, wanderlusting, love, learning, books, talking and listening, trees and bees. Live shows. Farm animals; lambs, pigs, cows, chickens, ducks. walking, skipping, handstands, cartwheels. peace trains, peace vans and street art. foraging.
Favorite music	too much to even get into. love it - it's essential to my existence and harmony. Resonance.
Favorite books	oh man. again, so many. i'll categorize them as such. culinary. spirituality/new age/zen buddhist/eastern philosophy & religion. Science ~ specifically physics, alchemy, biology. poetry and classic lit.
