| Introduction | I'm a retired journalist, but a still active freelance writer. I also work as a Customer Service Representative for a private contractor that handles background checks on gun purchasers for the FBI. My partner (the better looking one, on the right) and I have been together under the same roof since June 13, 2006. We're both survivors of the marriage wars, but think we've figured out what we were doing wrong all those years when we were married to women. Our kids (two apiece, unless some more that we don't know about appear full-grown on our doorstep) are all full-grown and muddling through their own lives. Our household consists of us, a 12-year-old strange black flatcoated retriever (Stone Cold Steve Austin) and two tomcats, Beauford (all white) and Sir Thomas Gray (a Russian blue). |
| Interests | Spending time with my spouse, then my family and friends; creative writing, gay civil rights issues, old movies, (OK! I ADMIT IT! I LIKE GOING TO GAY KARAOKE BARS!) theater, books, music, going to thrift and antique shops, entertaining, travel. |

When I'm working, classical such as Vivaldi's "Four Seasons," Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings," anything by Mozart, Bach, Ravel and Tchaikovsky, acoustic strings. When relaxing or playing --- rockabilly, bluegrass, classic country (Patsy CLINE!), Southern rock, jam bands, blues, light jazz combos. |
