| Introduction | Long-time career in radio-- First on WBAI-FM in New York (started in 1978 as Asst. Manager of the station-- On the air 1979-2004). Been on Sirius Satellite Radio (currently Sirius Left 146) for 4 years. Formerly owner and manager of various old and used book stores and departments in other stores. Former Welfare Worker in New York City and New York State Probation Officer. Author of two books of memoirs-- New York Son and (still in print) The Talking Cure. Performed autobiographical monologues in night-clubs, theaters, colleges, conventions, etc. Grew up in the furthest reaches of Queens, NYC-- during the Father-Knows-Best 50's. |
