| Introduction | I love good stories and I especially love good story-tellers. I love laughing and I love making others laugh or smile. I truly believe the waters of every man's heart run deep. What great joy in finding and exploring those deep waters! I believe that all humans are deeply flawed and that we fail ourselves more than we fail others, therefore I am seldom disappointed in people. I can love people in their perfectly human state of imperfection because I believe that is really the only way we can love one another. We truly connect by accepting each other, flaws and all, and loving each other passionately despite flaws and failures. My greatest joy is celebrating successes and victories with people, especially when someone gains a victory over self, which, according to Aristotle, is the hardest combatant to conquer. I rejoice when people face and overcome their fears and failures. I love seeing people soar and overcome! Simply put, I love life and I love people; I really love seeing people enjoy life! |

I love the voices of Janis Joplin, Michael Buble, Michael Crawford, Sarah McLachlan, Norah Jones, Robert Flack, Etta James, Johnnie Cash, Josh Groban, Janis Ian, and Ella Fitzgerald, though I don't like every song they sing. I love the music styles of The Kry, The Grateful Dead, Don McLean, CCR, the Beatles, Red, Skillet, and Three Dog Night. My dad taught me to love country favorites like Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, George Jones, and even some Dolly Parton and Tammy Wynette. My mom taught me how to disco dance and how to rock out to Rod Stewart. Somewhere along the way, a hippy wave caught me. Later, I began to enjoy the passion an lyrics of songs from bands like Disturbed, Thousand Foot Krutch, and Bullet for My Valentine. My daughter has taught me to even enjoy some rap. I love passion in music and I love hearing stories in songs. |
