| Introduction | I was born in 1927. A number of years ago, I started to compile a list of authors and books that I have read and enjoyed over the years going back to Grammar School. I put together those memories for my two daughters and my grand children with the hope that it would encourage them to start their own journal of books that they could share. I continue to add each book that I read and send them "updates" every few months. Other folks I know have learned about my book comments and I, now, have a significant mailing list. It will be easier to use the Blogger to pass on my comments. Perhaps, there are others who might be interested in the authors and books I read and comment on. While I do read a lot, I still try keep fit; Sara and I walk at least 1 mile almost every day, I have a rowing machine that gives and gets a good work out. I had to give up my bicycles; having balance problems, so I am now riding a recumbent trike. It is heavy and a little slow compared to a bike and we use different leg muscles but it gives good, fun exercise. |

I was an avid scuba diver for many years and haunted the reefs of all of the Cayman Islands and the Florida Keys; I had a private pilot license but I no longer fly, Music; Opera, Jazz & Pop are part of my life. |
