You can whistle and steam can whistle, so why do you sing in the shower?
You always breathe out while you sing. When you whistle, you go back and forth between breathing in and out. While you shower, there's generally water pouring over your head and face. Technically, breathing in water is called drowning. That's why I sing in the shower. (And I can't whistle to save my life.)
