| Introduction | I am a seed of the south transplanted to the north and I love a great deal about both cultures. I live in a small town inside an even smaller association where the roads are safe for children and nobody can shoot the animals -- where everybody can footpath a way to one or the other of our lakes; circled by cold waters, we are also high up in the mountains, so high you don't even know you're up, but low enough for there to be even more of a northern climb;the center of NH is called the Lakes Region and it gives meaning to the word 'peace.' In probably a jest of God, the people around me now turned out to be the sort of people I left down south so many years ago -- honest for the most part, very family oriented, and filled with humor. It is not as religious a community as the one I left, but then the country has changed...so maybe that is the same also! Let's see..I have a most cool husband who is also ornary enough to dispute being called ornary and who keeps me and my life intact. We have two grown sons and a daughter, five grandchildren, and one much loved puppy. |
