| Introduction | I am a landscape artist residing with my husband Ned in Orlando, Florida and in the mountains of North Carolina. I love the challenge to capture the work of light on nature’s landscape. Light, shapes, values and color provide the inspiration for my painting. I strive to capture on canvas the essence of the scene before me which I find exciting. My interest in art began early in life and I earned my Art Education degree from Florida State University. I began serious painting in oils in 2002 and worked with several renowned American artists such as; Joseph McGurl (Cape Cod), Kevin Courter (California), William Jameson (North Carolina), Richard Christian Nelson (North Carolina) and Kent Sullivan (Florida). My work has been exhibited at Turpin Fine Art Gallery (Hendersonville NC); Wickwire Gallery (Hendersonville, NC);Western Carolina Painters and Sculptors Assoc (Tryon, NC). In over nine years as a professional artist I have sold over 40 landscape images. |
