Introduction	I've been an SCM/ALM Sales Engineer since 1998. I was with SoftLanding Systems for the bulk of those years and just recently transferred to Aldon. So now I'm getting a very valuable SECOND perspective on the concepts! My core function involves giving pre-sales support to the Sales Representatives, helping them qualify a prospect and then performing the technical demonstration to the prospect's needs. Over the years, I have read books such as Solution Selling and have successfully implemented many of those techniques to improve my demonstrations. In addition to this primary function, I also perform several post-sales duties, such as training and implementation assignments, and providing technical support as needed. I assist Marketing by giving presentations at local user's groups and COMMON, and by performing live webinars. I have also written many newsletter articles, case studies, and even a few articles that were published in industry magazines.
