| Introduction | I am a botanical artist who is also a full time mom. Of late, my creative pursuits have taken a back seat to other priorities, to the point where I am an artist in my mind only, with little to show for it! As the Empty Nest looms on the horizon, it is time to take action and redirect my creative energies back to the source of my joy. Time to start drawing again!! I begin this blog on my 50th birthday to celebrate my passion for painting, drawing and writing. I'm hoping I'll successfully carve out time every day to sit at the drawing table, even if it is only for a few minutes. (Be forewarned -- I have never kept a New Year's resolution nor have I ever successully given up anything for Lent, but hey, there's a first time for everything!) So in theory you'll see either a quick sketch, a reflection of the day, a glimpse of a work in progress, or nothing more than a doodle -- I have no idea how this is going to go but I'm excited to see what happens!
