| Introduction | I am an Episcopal priest and the ministry developer for the Western Maryland Region of the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland (http://www.episcopalmaryland.org). I am the first full-time ministry developer for the Region and serve as the liaison between the Diocesan Center in Baltimore and the Region, which consists of Garrett County and Allegany County. These are the two most western counties in Maryland and the Diocese. Based in Cumberland (Md.), I spend much of my time in my car, driving between the Region’s eight churches and between the Region and the Diocesan Center. I also serve as vicar for two parishes and assist each of the eight churches with their sacramental and other needs. I was raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains and now live amongst the mountains of Maryland. It is home.
