| Introduction | byGeorge evolved from my year abroad blog 'Best and Wurst'. As a student of French and German at the University of Southampton, I spent my third year at the University of Freiburg in the south of Germany. That was the topic of this blog. After graduating from Southampton in the summer of 2016, I decided to reignite the dying embers of the blog, give it a new name and new perspective. byGeorge is what I came up with. Some context - I'm starting a Master's degree in International Security at the University of Sussex, and this blog will be a creative space for my thoughts during the year. It will probably have a world affairs/politics focus, hopefully with some lighter stuff too. I hope you enjoy reading it. George |
