Introduction	In 1993, Martin Kippenberger transformed an abandoned slaughterhouse into the Museum of Modern Art Syros (MOMAS). After his death, efforts to establish a museum at the original site were unsuccessful. The EU used the original structure to build a wastewater treatment facility. A traffic mirror was erected at the site of Christopher Wool’s 'momas' sign. In 2017, MOMAS was relocated to this virtual location on Google Maps . MOMAS/momas remains digitally accessible, yet physically elusive—an homage to its conceptual beginnings.
