Introduction	I graduated in 2009 from Eastern Michigan University with a Baccalaureate of Science in Teacher Education Summa Cum Laude. Major: Integrated Science; Minor: Reading. I'm enrolled to begin my Master's in Special Education: Learning Disabilities next Fall at EMU. Right now, I am tackling the Montessori Certification Course for Upper Elementary 9-12 and am increasing my knowledge of effective pedagogy. It is my intention to enlighten the minds of children through modeling and perseverance. Compensation does not come through monetary means, but through the lasting impression one can make on a child.
Interests	Writing children stories and adding illustrations. Drawing with my daughter at the Toledo Zoo on rainy days. Seeking out Antique Shops with my husband. Looking up and wondering about the universe.
Favorite movies	Director Julie Taymour did a wonderful job with "Across the Universe".
Favorite music	The BEATLES!
Favorite books	Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury- every time I read this book it gets me thinking about the many facets of the human condition. It was written in the 1950s but perfectly predicted many aspects of the present.
