Introduction | I grew up in Pawhuska during the 1950's and a touch of the 1960's. I have written the book "Pawhuska Kids' Stuff" about those memories. I photograph Pawhuska and its citizens when I can. The town stays in one spot; its citizens, especially those who have moved on, do not and are more difficult to photograph. Still, I capture many of them with my lens. I capture many things with my words. Spanish is my second language and I have been speaking it for about twenty years. I have two Associate of Arts degrees in Spanish from Tulsa Community College. All journals by Stevie Joe Payne are copyrighted material. Contact the writer for permission to use. |
