Introduction	We are recreating our biosphere at an unsustainable rate, in essence steam cleaning the earth with all the subtlety of a deep fryer. If that is what we as a species want, then by all means keep after it. If we would like to savor the diversity, elegance, and beauty of the more fragile things (say, 80% of all species on earth), though, we need to change course rapidly. Newsflash: I am an unrepentant Liberal. If you are to the right of me and get offended reading things written by people like me, don't read my blog. Or if you do, for fuck sake, don't comment on it and try to insult me or change my mind. Any and all such drivel will be immediately deleted for the spew it is. I have a zero tolerance policy for assholes in my house, and my blog is my house. And I can guarantee you that if you think I am wrong, I have put waaaaay more effort into researching my positions than you have. You're bringing a knife to a gun fight, and I will not be bothered by talking down to assholes. If you legitimately want to read what I have so you can see the truth, too, let me know. Politely.
