| Introduction | I am from the suburbs of Cary North Carolina. I grew up among McMansions and Golf Courses, Strip malls and Chain restaurants. I went to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated in four years with degrees in English and Creative Writing. I started rock climbing in college, and since graduating I have only added fuel to the fire that is the vertical world. Since graduating in 2008 I have trekked from Washington State through Oregon and Idaho, through Montana and Wyoming to Colorado and on to Iowa. I have lived on the beaches of North Carolina and in the mountains. I have lived in California, from the coast to the granite cathedral that is Yosemite, and on to the deserts of Bishop and Joshua Tree. I have traveled through Utah and the flat lands of Kansas. Through Tennessee and Kentucky and West Virginia looking for rocks to climb. Back to the Mountains of North Carolina for work, and now--with money in my pocket--on to the land of the Lord of the Rings. |
