| Introduction | This blog is by the secular humanist me -- not by, say, the cat lover me. I've been active in secular humanism for about 20 years. Has also worked defending separation of church and state, reproductive rights, and evolution education. My writing has appeared in Free Inquiry, Humanistic Judaism, Reports of the National Center for Science Education, and elsewhere. These days, I write an advice column, "Sweet Reason", that's published 2-3 monthly in the e-zine Humanist Network News. There, you can get advice from a specifically humanist point of view. Why a blog and the website? So people who are getting advice can find out a little more about the person giving it! (And maybe a book blog will help people decide about books they might buy.) |
